Happy Monday!

Y'all, today is a big milestone. It's one I've been anticipating for a long time.

Today's the first day since Nov. 1 that the sun will set here at 5 p.m. or later.

I know, I'm excited, too. I'm thinking we should throw some kind of party, and I've even got a name: Thank Goodness The Sun Is Up For Longer Than Two And A Half Minutes Party. I'll take suggestions for venues.

In today's newsletter: Fire heroes; school board drama (again); obstacle course.

See y'all next week,

- Ethan Horton
