We have a new reporter! Yes, that's right, we have hired Quentin Blais to join our team as the community reporter covering Rangeley and northern Franklin County.

We are super excited to have some fresh new eyes and ears up there in Rangeley, and I'm sure you guys are, too. We, Anne Sheehan and I, have done our best to wrangle some news together for you with the incredible help of writers Rebecca Richard and Rose Lincoln, who have taken the time away from their own beats in Farmington and Bethel to keep up with things happening in the area. Thank you to Rebecca and Rose for all your help!

Quentin comes to us by way of Chicago, where he grew up in a newspaper family and earned a degree in journalism from DePaul University. He just arrived in town this past weekend, so if you see him around please say hi and welcome him to the neighborhood! Please don't scare him too badly with stories about the weather!

Quentin starts next week, but in the meantime you can read a bit about him here. Once he is settled in, Quentin will also be taking over writing these newsletters. I will miss writing to you every week, but I know his fresh voice and perspective on our beautiful communities will be a fantastic addition.

Thank you, as always, for reading.
