Election season is truly kicking into high gear. We'll have five candidates on the ballot this year. A manageable group, but there's still a lot to learn about where each stands on the big and small issues.
Debates can be a crucial way of finding even the subtlest differences between the candidates, especially with ranked-choice voting in play.
I encourage all of you to participate in and watch as many of the debates as you can. The candidates will debate at the downtown library tonight. And you can hear from them again in about two weeks at a debate hosted by the Press Herald and UNE.
Nov. 7 will be here much sooner than we all realize – not to mention in-person absentee voting which begins on Oct. 10.
- Until next week, Julia |
