Greetings everyone,

Should the lawn mower be put away until spring? Maybe, I should mow the lawn one last time before cold weather sets in, but it might not be good for the lawn. I'm debating.

Grass left taller now could offer some insulation, it seems to me, for the root system if freezing temperatures precede a protective blanket of snow. We all want a lush, green lawn come spring, but I'm not a scientist. Decisions, decisions. The best course of action for a healthy lawn next spring is hanging in the balance now.

Maybe readers can help recommend a course of action, expert advice for good, basic lawn care.

Maybe it's No Mow October.

Thanks for reading and have a great week,

- Bob Lowell
