Covering the communities of Biddeford, Saco and Old Orchard Beach

It's homecoming weekend in Biddeford! Although I went to Kennebunk High School, I know just how much fun homecoming weekend is, no matter where you live. It's all about celebrating the community and cheering on the local team, so don't miss the Biddeford High School homecoming football game on Friday night! 


There are even more fun things to do in Biddeford and Saco this weekend, including lots of live music, free beer tastings, and a craft festival. Don't be bored in Maine — check out the great local events in the Things to Do section of the newsletter!

Calling all trunks! Biddeford Recreation is looking for community groups, local businesses, and individuals who would like to host a trunk at this year’s second annual Trunk or Treat event on Friday, Oct. 24. 


Kick off the Halloween season with a fun, family-friendly celebration at the Steve White Gym parking lot at Biddeford High School. Interested in getting involved with the community while spreading Halloween spirit? Read more here.

THINGS TO DO

For live music, head to Mick's Sports Bar in downtown Biddeford on Thursday, Oct. 2, at 6 p.m. for an evening with Sneaky Link. Need more? Check out one man band Ross Gregor Adam at Dunn Bar in Biddeford on Friday, Oct. 3, at 7:30 p.m., and enjoy a night of live folk fusion tunes! 


If you love beer, don't miss a free beer tasting at Brew England in downtown Biddeford on Friday, Oct. 3, from 4 to 8 p.m. Sample several different beers from Nonesuch River Brewing, based in Poland, Maine, and learn about the brewing process. 


It's football season! Before your favorite NFL teams play this weekend, support the Biddeford High School football team as it faces Falmouth on Friday, Oct. 3, at 6 p.m. Cheer on the Tigers during their homecoming game! 


Celebrate creativity and community during Maine Craft Weekend, starting on Oct. 4. All weekend long, explore Biddeford's studios, galleries, and pop-ups, meet local makers, watch live demos, and shop one-of-a-kind handmade goods.
