Renovation debuts L.L.Bean re-opened its flagship store in Freeport today, showing off the results of a $50 million renovation that puts a two-tiered trout pond and first-floor shoe department front and center. The upgrade took four years and required the store — usually open 24/7 — to be closed for two years.
ATV crash A 35-year-old Chesterville man died Saturday after the ATV he was driving failed to stop or yield to traffic as it entered an intersection and was struck by a car. His passenger, 46, sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken by LifeFlight of Maine to a Portland hospital. Both people were ejected from the ATV. |
