We know there are a lot of long faces out there because the New England Patriots got trounced in the Super Bowl.

Let us distract you with a bunch of fun stuff to do this week, beginning with several dinner-and-a-movie pairings for Valentine’s Day. Our sweet list includes theater and streaming options, with sit-down or takeout meals.

Speaking of movies, Portland Symphony Orchestra will be playing a live score to screenings of two blockbuster films at Merrill Auditorium. Catch "Jurassic Park" this weekend and "Empire Strikes Back" in March.

On Wednesday night, Merrill Auditorium hosts contemporary Canadian circus troupe Flip Fabrique, performing their new show, “Blizzard.” The cast includes Mainer Theo LeBlanc, who talks with us about joining the troupe.
