The Hawthorne House Association will host an Evening of Global Jazz at the boyhood home of Nathaniel Hawthorne in Raymond on Friday, April 18, at 7 p.m.


The event will feature a performance from acclaimed South African saxophonist McCoy Mrubata, alongside guitarist Garry Wittner. Mrubata is a recipient of the South African Music Association's Lifetime Achievement Award, as well as the Kennedy Center International Arts Gold Medal, while Wittner has performed on five continents as a Kennedy Center Jazz Ambassador.

New Gloucester will host a climate resiliency workshop at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, at the New Gloucester Meeting House. Attendees are encouraged to share their thoughts on how climate change will impact the town's environment, infrastructure, and community. The Raymond Parks and Recreation Department is holding an Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 19, at 10 a.m., at Raymond Elementary School. Register for the event at raymond.recdesk.com.


Loon Echo Land Trust will host a hike up Bald Pate Mountain on Tuesday, April 22, to celebrate Earth Day. The event is free, but registration is required in advance. Register for the event here.
