Dear friends,

On Monday, Gould Academy students and faculty, sent a message of support to our hometown and Gould Olympians: Gould Alumni and snowboarders, Nathan Pare '23; Brianna Schnorrbusch '24; and Hanna Percy '25 and Bethel native and bobsledder Frankie Del Duca.

They were led by Head of School Tao Smith, and athletes Zach Garfield of Bethel, and Linnea Kelleher of Newry.

Gould's Olympians began their competitions on Thursday and Friday.  Gould faculty and staff gathered to watch Nate Pare who was disqualified after another boarder clipped Pare's board. While hugely disappointed, they hope to see Pare rebound if selected for the mixed snowboard cross team that will compete Sunday.

In today's newsletter: Read about Rangeley's pond hockey tourney; Check out two live performances at Steam Mill; Try a robotics and 3D class and much more.

Thanks for reading,

Rose Lincoln

In case you missed it, Bethel Native Frank Del Duca talked with Snoop Dog on t.v. and was also featured on page 1 of the Feb. 7 Portland Press Herald carrying the American flag into the Olympic stadium during opening ceremony. Way to go, Frankie!
