Another sure sign of fall is election coverage.
Now in my second year covering local elections, I'm feeling more prepared for the rhythm of the next month: gathering local context and interviews with candidates beforehand, an intense and exciting Election Night of reporting out results, followed by covering the impacts of these decisions in your community.
But I am getting ahead of myself, we're only on step one. Read more below about the votes on changes to the Yarmouth Water District charter, hear from North Yarmouth candidates in their own words, and check out the guide to the Yarmouth ballot.
And don't forget to read about the state referendum questions that are also coming your way!
In this week's newsletter: Yarmouth takes action increasing road safety, a introduction for Cumberland newcomers, and the biggest book sale of the year.
Thanks for reading,
