Covering the communities of Biddeford, Saco and Old Orchard Beach

Saturday is Valentine's Day! One of the best Valentine's Days I've ever had was a few years ago, and it didn't start out how we planned. My partner and I had gotten home late from skiing with friends, and although we had reservations at David's in Portland, we just couldn't bring ourselves to get off the couch.

So, we did the next best thing: We ordered Chinese food from our favorite spot down the street, poured a glass of wine, and watched a (frankly, terrifying) movie about three friends getting stuck on a ski lift during a blizzard. Skipping dinner reservations for greasy food and a scary movie might not sound like the ideal Valentine's Day to some, but it's still one of my favorites!

If you're struggling to find something to do during Valentine's weekend, keep reading this newsletter!

In this week's newsletter: Read about Saco extending a moratorium on mobile home rent increases, the future of the Opioid Settlement Fund in Biddeford, and the outcome of late tax filings in Biddeford.

As always, feel free to email me with story ideas and photos!

Thanks for reading,

- Sydney Richelieu
