Windham's Bull Moose record store is one of hundreds nationwide that will be participating in Record Store Day on Saturday, April 12. The event, which was started in 2008 by Mainer Chris Brown, celebrates independent brick-and-mortar record stores, and will see the shops carrying limited-edition special releases, as well as performances from local bands in larger towns such as South Portland and Lewiston. The Windham Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting a 1950s-themed murder mystery party at 6 p.m. on Friday, April 11, at the Windham town gym. The event, which features both an interactive mystery and a delicious Italian-style meal, costs $68 to attend, including dinner and show. Raymond will hold a pasta fundraising dinner at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, April 11, at Jordan Small Middle School, in order to raise money for JSMS eighth graders. The event costs $10 for those ages 13 and up, $8 for ages 5-12, and is free for kids 4 and under. Call 207-655-4743 for more information.
The First Congregational Church of Gray is holding an Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 12, from 10 a.m. to noon. The event is free to attend. Call 603-225-5491 for more information. |
